Mining for Quota UPDATE

Those of you who have participated in Mining for Quota, as of about February 4th, a flaw in the Miner we provide became visible. We did not notice this until now because as long as people continue to mine without restarting the program, it works fine. However restarting the miner after February 4th, the miner will fail to actually submit shares to us. (we give you quota based on the number of shares you submit to us, so if you dont send any, you dont get any quota).

What you need to Do

You need to update your miner with the one on the Mining for Quota page.

Those of you who haen't tried Mining for Quota

Go to the Mining for Quota page, download the miner, and try it. If you have a good GPU, you will earn a lot of quota with almost no effort.

Earning Quota

Now that Quota is enabled again. We realise that this limits some people. So we're adding the ability to earn quota.

To earn Quota You need to be Registered and Logged in. Note that an account benefits from the normal Quota recycling system used for guests.
Right now you can earn quota by making meaningful posts. Answer questions, give opinions. And you'll earn quota for it. Note that it may take a while for the quota to apply.
To claim the quota, go to your account panel and convert your generated funds into quota.

Due to excess bandwidth usage, we are again limiting download amounts. For now, we've set the daily quota to 1G.

However, we are now starting a little test. We're going to start a donation pool. The goal is 100 BTC. Once it's reached, another download blitz will begin for a month.

Our download servers are back online!
A series of issues caused the download servers to become unavailable for 3 days, the longest outage we have had in at least 1 year.

We are asking for people to add boxarts, screenshots, and other related images to the system.

There are many places you can get them, google image search is a good start.

Hopefully as we get more of them, it will be easier to verify what game you´re looking at.

Incoming Changes

As funds are getting a bit tight lately, we´re going to be imposing some new restrictions on downloads.

As it is currently, you can download a file of any size, so long as you have full quota. We will be changing this by limiting it to 2GB, so no file over 2GB can be downloaded without extra quota.

Unfortunately, this puts a lot of games out of range for a lot of people, so we will ALSO be adding a new way to earn quota without the need to pay for it. The comments system will be tied into the quota system so when you make GOOD comments, you earn quota for your account.

As always, we would like to request that anyone who can afford it, to buy some extra quota to help us with the bills. It will help us continue our service and make it better.

Normal Service Resumed

We finally have our new fileserver online. So download service has been resumed for most games.

We´re restoring files as fast as possible, but there is a lot of data to be transfered which takes some time.

Most NDS are completely restored.

Main priority right now is PSX, which the set is being completely overhauled, it should start to become available soon.
